It is one thing to believe in “loving your neighbor” as a theological concept or a political stance. It is quite another to practice it when your body is tired, your schedule is full, and your inner critic is shouting.

We’ve deconstructed the myths of “White Jesus” and the loopholes of the lawyer this week. Now, we have to live in the space that remains. I’ve written this short benediction to help us carry these lessons out of our inboxes and into our living rooms, our grocery stores, and our own mirrors.

May it be a reminder that the most revolutionary thing you can do this weekend is to treat a “stranger,”even the one in your own reflection, with the dignity they deserve.
