This week we heard Mary sing of a God who lifts the lowly and fills the hungry — good news, first and on purpose, for the poor. Here is your exhale.
Blessed are you who were taught that your struggle was a failure of faith — it never was.
Blessed are you who are poor in any of the ways a person can be poor — in money, in rest, in safety, in being fed — for the kingdom is tilting toward you even now, and the good news was announced, first, to you.
Blessed are you who cannot stop producing, who have never once felt like enough: you were enough before you made a thing, and no empty account could ever make you less.
Blessed are you who hunger — for bread, for rest, for justice, for peace — for you will be filled. Mary sang it. Jesus meant it. It is coming.
May you unclench your hands this week. May you feel, in your very body, the word enough. May you let yourself be the one who is fed.
You are worthy. You are enough. You are loved, exactly as you are — and not one bit of it was ever for sale.
Rest now. The work will keep till Monday.
