This week we followed Joseph, who met the brothers who hurt him and found that God had been with him all along. Here is your exhale.
May you know that your anger at the ones who hurt you
does not make you less faithful.
Joseph was angry. The LORD was with him.
May you find the courage to set your terms,
and the peace to keep them
without apology.
When you need to step out of the room,
may God step out with you.
May the porch, the car, the quiet bathroom
be holy ground this season.
May no one rush you toward trust you’re not ready to give.
And where real change comes,
may you have the eyes to see it.
May God be with you at every table,
the way God was with Joseph in the pit,
in the prison, and in the palace.
You are safe to love from a place of safety.
You are loved, exactly as you are.
Rest now. The work will keep till Monday.
