This week we walked with Ruth and Naomi, strangers who made each other family and found God faithful in it. Here is your exhale.
May you know that God is not ashamed to be called your God.
Not now. Not ever.
Where you are lonely,
may God send you one person who says,
“Where you go, I will go.”
Where you are bitter, like Naomi,
may you be honest about it,
and may God keep working anyway.
May you recognize hesed when it shows up for you,
and may you have the courage to offer it
to someone else who needs a home.
May God spread wings over you this week,
and may some of those wings
look like people who love you.
You are not too far from home to belong.
You are loved, exactly as you are.
Rest now. The work will keep till Monday.
