This week we stood on the riverbank with Jochebed, and discovered that even when God is silent, the river is never empty. Here is your exhale.
May you know, in your bones,
that your questions have not carried you away from God.
You are not backsliding. You are being carried.
May God be the ark beneath you this week —
sealed, steady, and on the water with you.
When God feels silent,
may you remember the river in Exodus,
where God was never named
and never once absent.
May God hold the ones standing on the bank, afraid,
and may you feel the relief
of not having to carry their fear yourself.
May you notice your Miriams,
and may you see God in them.
You were seen as good before you ever touched the water.
You still are.
You are loved, exactly as you are.
Rest now. The work will keep till Monday.
