This week we found that the favor Jesus proclaimed was a Jubilee — rest for the land, release for the captive, a whole world reset. Here is your exhale.
Blessed are you who were taught this world was only a waiting room — you are allowed to come home to it, and love it, and stay.
Blessed are you who never learned to rest, who measured your worth in what you finished: if God gave the very soil a sabbath, then surely, surely, you are allowed one too.
Blessed are you who forgot your body was good — it is not a costume to shed or a burden to escape. You are made of this earth, and God called it good, and God is glad you’re here.
Blessed are you who are tired in your bones this week — may a Jubilee find you. May something long overdue be released. May something in you finally get to lie fallow and rest.
Put down the list, beloved. The land is God’s, not yours to carry. You are a tenant in a good world, and you are loved, exactly as you are.
Rest now — really rest. The work will keep till Monday.

As always, God’s perfect timing.
