The Saturday Blessing
Reclaiming the Idle Joy
The modern church system has a way of making “rest” feel like “quitting.” We have been conditioned to believe that if we aren’t contributing to the kingdom, we are consuming from it. But Saturday was made for the “low-utility” soul.
Reclaiming joy starts with a simple realization: God’s favorite version of you is the one that has nothing to offer but your breath. You are not a battery to be drained; you are a temple to be inhabited. Tomorrow, the “funnel” will be waiting to catch you. But today, you are invited to simply be a child in a garden.
